FSUMpeg by Cybergrunge.net 0 (0)

FSUMpeg is a real-time Lossy compression plugin that emulates low quality audio codecs, poor quality noise reduction algorithms, glitched/broken audio transmission etc.

It is inspired by the strange artifacts and responsiveness of extremely compressed audio codecs. Similar to uploading a video to youtube, downloading it then reuploading, over and over until the quality gets reduced to a glitchy blur. The core of FSUMpeg is ELENA’s spectral modules, which are used to break down incoming signal into a spectrogram, to which various filters are applied. FSUMmpeg features two peak-following or static ring modulators – one pre-FFT and one post-FFT, a bitcrusher and custom waveshaping to achieve extremely lofi bizarre sounds. It has useful bass enhancement knobs and comes in a mono or stereo version.

Fugue State Audio Spectral Destroyer free audio-mangling/FSU plugin 0 (0)

Spectral Destroyer is an audio-mangling/FSU plugin designed around spectral processing. It uses pitch-shifting and delay to do what it does, but isn’t really designed to be either of those things. It is designed more for audio destruction and feedback effects.

What is a Zebralette?

-ette: an English suffix indicating a diminutive form
Zebralette is an introduction to Zebra2’s powerful oscillators. Zebra2 can seem overwhelming at first glance, so we stripped it down to a single oscillator plus a few other features and created Zebralette, the little Zebra. Once you master Zebralette you can move up to Zebra2 with confidence. And your presets can come with you, as Zebralette presets can be opened in Zebra2.

But more than a teaching tool, Zebralette is an incredible sounding synth in its own right. Surrounding Zebra’s spectral oscillator with a few core modulation options and effects make Zebralette highly capable. With unsion options (think supersaw, but Zebralette is not limited to saw waves, so we refer to it as superwave), 16 voice polyphony and two different envelopes, you have everything needed to create some marvellously complex sounds.

Diminutive? Yes. Powerful? Yes.

Zebra oscillator
One oscillator may not seem like enough for a synthesizer, but Zebra2 oscillators are rather powerful and clever.

It resembles many other oscillators you may have used. You can choose a waveset from the included library, or use the waveform editor to draw your own shapes. Here is where things start to get interesting: The Waveform Editor manages up to 16 different waves and lets you rearrange, duplicate and morph between individual waves. Use one of modulation sources and the WaveWarp control to scan through the 16 waves and create unusual, dynamic sounds.

There are four drawing modes: GeoMorph, SpectroMorph, GeoBlend, SpectroBlend, each offering a different approach to creating and manipulating waveforms.

Using the two Geo modes you draw the waveform shape using up to 32 points, while the Spectro modes let you create the harmonic spectrum over 128 columns. When using WaveWarp to scan through the waveset, Morph alters the waveform, whereas Blend blends (crossfades) between adjacent waves.

Known Issues:
• Context menus need plugin focus to work (Apple issue)

Special Notes:
• AAX support on Mac removed temporarily (will come back in next update)
• Updated minimum requirements, CPU needs to support SSE4.2 instruction set

MV’s Plugins has La Voz Cantante, free 1024-band vocoder for Windows 0 (0)

An FFT-based 1024-channel vocoder. The modulator input – usually a sung or simpjy spoken voice – is analyzed with respect to its spectral content, which is then applied to the other sound source. The latter may be any externally supplied signal ranging from pink noise, synth pads, guitar or even drums. Alternatively, there is an internal, MIDI driven synth which is optimized for best speech reproduction fidelity. You can blend the high frequencies with noise for natural-sounding sibilants. There is also a noise gate, a compressor and a stereo reverb on board.

Here is a summary of La Voz Cantante’s features:

  • FFT based 1024-channel vocoder.
  • Stereo inputs for carrier and modulator, respectively.
  • Optional MIDI input to drive internal synth as carrier.
  • Polyphony with unlimited number of voices.
  • Up to three voices per note with adjustable relative detuning and stereo width.
  • Octave, semitone and fine tuning controls.
  • Option of noise blending for improved sibilant formation.
  • Built-in modulator noise gate with indicator.
  • Built-in soft knee limiter with color-coded LED indicator.
  • Built-in stereo reverb.
  • Master volume control with output clipping indicator.
  • LED indicators for inputs and outputs for quick check of signal routing.

New in Version 6.4:

  • 64-bit plugin version available.
  • VST3 plugin version available.
  • Extended modulator pitch range down to G#1.
  • Faster sibilant detector.
  • Improved voiced/unvoiced transitions.
  • Symmetric-crest output waveform.
  • Reverb uses velvet noise.
  • Consistent preset names.
  • Optimizations and bug fixes.

New in Version 6B:

  • Increased resolution to 1024 channels.
  • Full stereo processing.
  • Reduced latency.
  • Report latency to host.
  • GUI rework.
  • Reworked sibilant management (much improved!).
  • Internal synth dynamic response.
  • Hide ADSR controls.
  • Added portamento.
  • Added delayed vibrato option.
  • New reverb powered by MVerb 7B engine (much improved!).
  • Optimizations and bug fixes.

Vital Audio Vital Spectral warping wavetable synth Mac Win FREE

Vital is a visual synthesizer. See what’s happening behind the scenes with animated controls, filter responses, waveforms, smooth LFOs, oscilloscopes, spectrograms and more.

All animations run at 60 frames per second and are GPU optimized which leaves your CPU to do its real job: the audio processing.

Modulate Vital’s controls with a fast, drag and drop workflow.

Vital gives you a preview of the modulation before committing so you can quickly experiment without ruining your sound.

Modulate your sound with custom LFO shapes, snappy envelopes and randomized sources like perlin noise.

Give your sound some human touch with velocity, aftertouch and MPE control modulation.

Use stereo modulation to split the left and right channels of every modulation to get extra wide stereo effects.

Then ‘remap’ the modulation curve to customize the shape of every modulation connection.
