Nembrini Audio Clon Minotaur (Transparent Overdrive) v1.0.2 x64 VST VST3 AU AAX WiN MAC [FREE] 0 (0)

NAClonMinotaur_1800x1800

Clon Minotaur Transparent Overdrive is modeled on The Klon Centaur* a guitar overdrive pedal developed between 1990 and 1994. The Clon Minotaur is characterized as a “transparent” overdrive, meaning it adds gain to the signal without significantly altering the tone of the guitar.

Depending on the settings of the control knobs, the Clon Minotaur Transparent Overdrive can act mostly as a clean boost, adding mostly volume and minimal coloring to the sound. This can be used to drive the input valve stage of the virtual amplifier to use the characteristic distortion sound of an overdriven guitar amp.

Clon Minotaur Transparent Overdrive controls can be set to distort the sound signal in the plugin, where two modeled germanium diodes can perform waveform clipping.

The gain parameter controls the balance between the modeled diode clipping stage and the clean stage. The two signals are summed together before they interact with the other two controls, treble and volume.

Black Distortion by Nembrini Audio 0 (0)

NABlack_1800x1800

Black Distortion is modeled on RAT2 distortion pedal.

The beauty of the Black Distortion plugin lies in its versatility. Used as a primary distortion, it excels at arena rock rhythm tones and soaring leads. Do you have an amplifier plugin with too much headroom? Let the Black Distortion plugin be your dirty channel. Maybe you already love your amplifier plugin distortion. Use the Black Distortion plugin as a boost for solos and get the extra kick you need.

Black Distortion plugin features the legendary filter control. Turn it to the right to roll off brittle high-end frequencies. Having trouble cutting through the mix? Turn it to the left and allow the natural brightness of your instrument to shine through.

Black Distortion  dials in the perfect amount of gain, from mild overdrive to full out fuzzy assault, and the volume control lets you dial it in just perfectly against your bypassed clean tone

Shape by Audec 0 (0)

adc_Shape

Overview
Shape is a simple waveshaper/wavefolder effect that has 5 shaping curves, Hard Clip, Soft Clip, Tube, Triangle, and Sine.

User Interface
  • Scope
    • The scope visualizes shaping curve (transfer function) that maps Input and output values to the horizontal and vertical axes, respectively.
The darker orange color line visualizes the shaping curve.
The brighter orange color line visualizes the range of the audio signal.
The shape selector selects the shaping curve.
  • Input
    • The Input control adjusts the amount of gain. Increasing the amount of gain produces more harmonics.
  • Bias
    • The bias control adjusts the amount of bias. The bias creates asymmetrical distortion, producing warm even harmonics.
  • Dry/Wet
    • The dry/wet control adjusts the balance of the dry and wet signal.
  • Output
    • The Output control adjusts the output volume.
  • Oversampling
    • The Oversampling chooser selects the oversampling factor. Oversampling reduces alias noise caused by nonlinear effects such as saturator, overdrive, distortion, and clipper. Increasing the oversampling factor can reduce alias noise more, but increases CPU load and latency.

Operating the controls
  • Fine-tune the knob
    • To fine-tune the knob, hold down the shift key and drag the knob.
  • Reset the knob
    • To reset the knob to the default value, double-click the knob.

System Requirements
  • VST3/AU – macOS 10.11 – 11 (Intel/Apple Silicon) 64-bit
  • VST3 – Windows 10 64-bit

Electron EQ by ViatorDSP 0 (0)

Screen Shot 2021-07-26 at 8.53.45 PM

Electron EQ is a tube equalizer inspired by popular EQ’s that have been in top studios for decades.

This bad boy is full of cool features, like 4x oversampling, mid/side processing, and meticulous tube-overdrive circuit emulation.

  • Low Boost – Low shelf filter of original design controlled by the “freq” dial near it from 22 Hz to 300 Hz by 0 dB to +10 dB.
  • Low Atten – Low cut filter just above the Low Boost filter. It helps define and fatten the low-end, by 0 dB to -10 dB.
  • High Boost – High shelf filter of original design controlled by the “freq” dial near it from 1000 Hz to 16000 Hz by 0 dB to +10 dB.
  • High Atten – High cut filter just above the High Boost filter. It helps define and round off the high-end, by 0 dB to -10 dB.
  • Bandwidth – Controls the “Q” factor, or bandwidth of the low and high filters, 0 being the most narrow and +10 being the widest.
  • LP – Low-pass filter from 20000 Hz to 3000 Hz.
  • Drive – Controls the drive parameter for a meticulously modeled tube circuit with parallel processing to subtly dial in tube saturation. When the drive slider is at 0 dB, the processing turns off to save CPU usage when the effect is not desired.
  • Trim – Output volume control.
  • EQ In/Out – Toggles the EQ processing on or off without resetting the current state of the filter’s boost and atten settings.
  • OS – Toggles 4x oversampling on or off. Toggling oversampling on will set the LP filter to 19000 Hz if it is currently set to 20000 Hz. This takes care of some sampling rate math and lets you hear the high end difference. It would be best to leave the LP filter lower than 19000 while oversampling is on.
  • Stereo Mode – This allows you to choose between mid/side/left/right/stereo processing. Use this to remove low end from the sides or add brightness to the sides, whatever cool mid/side/left/right/stereo processing you like to do! This effect will of course perform the best on a stereo source.
  • Setting a filter to 0 dB will turn off processing to save CPU for unused filters.
  • The plugin will save it’s window size when you hit save in your DAW and it will recall the size on the next startup.

NB01 – distortion/sustainer by Noizebox – KVR Challenge 0 (0)

NB01 – distortion/sustainer is the first plugin from Noizebox Industries. Made for KVR DC21.

Inspired by a circuit from an ancient guitar pedal that was originally intended as a soft-distortion-sustainer for guitars. Giving that singing sustain without a lot of harsh distortion. This is a modern take on the same circuit, not a straight up clone, more of a work-alike inspired by the original circuit. Though a fair amount of work has gone into modelling the peculiar anomalies of an overdriven, asymmetrically clipping, amplifier circuit with a FET-based feedback loop that works like a crude compressor, prone to overcompensating.

NB01 adds control over the amount of compression applied and the response time. It its fastest setting it is not really a compressor as it starts altering the waveform of the incoming sound. It also add tone controls for more versatility in shaping the sound. The tone controls are a mix of pre and post filtering that makes them interact with the overdriven amplifier circuit in interesting ways.

The signal chain is processed with 4x times oversampling with high quality elliptical downsampling filters to limit aliasing and accurate modelling. Real time parameter smoothing for glitch-free operation. Written in native C++ for performance and small footprint. Hardware accelerated, vector based UI.

Use it as overdrive before a guitar amp plugin for a sweet, compressed and singing tone. Preferably with a bit of midrange boost to cut through. It’s is also perfect for destroying drum loops. Either by rolling off the bass and making the compressor slam the transients.

Or by cranking up the low end for really making the compressor duck like crazy on the kicks, by setting the response time to moderately fast, you can tweak the gain knob to find a sweetspot where the bass triggers the compression in just the right way.

Or try it on any other material, lofi vocals, adding grime to basslines or any other creative ways of destroying sounds.

Controls:

  • Gain: Sets the gain of the circuit, higher values produce more distortion.
  • Compression amount: Sets the amount of compression applied. There’s a lot of range here. At extreme settings the compression will be negative, i.e. a 3 dB volume increase will result in more than 3 dB gain reduction. This can cause a bubbling/pumping/grinding artefacts at some combinations of high reaction speed and high compression when the circuit switches back and forth between overcompensation. This is not a bug, it’s a feature and lot’s of weird distortions can be discovered here.
  • Compression Speed: Sets the reaction time of the compressor feedback, higher values create more distortion as the compressor starts to chew on the waveform rather that the envelope of the sound.
  • Stereo: This switches between Fully independent stereo processing, stereo processing with linked compressors and mono processing.
  • Tonelomidhigh: Tone controls are fairly straight forward. All controls at 12 o clock means a reasonably flat response. Tone controls are also a combination of pre and post clipping, which creates more interesting textures.
  • Scope: Just for amusement really. but it’s fun to watch.
  • Master level: Sets the output volume for balancing the mix.

Clon Minotaur by Nembrini Audio 0 (0)

Clon Minotaur Transparent Overdrive is modeled on The Klon Centaur, a guitar overdrive pedal developed between 1990 and 1994.

The Clon Minotaur is characterized as a transparent overdrive, meaning it adds gain to the signal without significantly altering the tone of the guitar.
