Caution: Each preset has its own MIDI assignment. If you make a MIDI assignment you need to save the preset. Otherwise, the MIDI assignment you’ve made will be lost as soon you change the preset. If you want to make your own presets with the same MIDI assignments, you can do it by assigning MIDI controls to the Initial preset, saving a copy of it, and using it as a template for your sounds.
TAL-NoiseMaker is an improved version of TAL-Elek7ro and has a completely new synth engine and a lot of improvements in sound and usability. The synth also includes a small effect section with a reverb, chorus and a simple bit crusher effect.
A display shows the knob and slider values. This allows more control over the synth. A ringmodulator and a syncable triangle are also part of this synth. TAL-NoiseMaker includes new filter types as the self resonating 6dB low pass and a notch filter. Swamp XT is a timbre modulation synthesizer. It can create unique sounds from clear & harsh metallic sequenced sounds to soft & wide modulated Pads. This is achieved by modulating the timbre on the oscillator level.
Swamp XT features ‘Timbre-modulation’: It processes each oscillator’s waveform in a very unique way by changing (i.e. enriching or limiting) the harmonic spectrum making the sound fatter, wider or narrower, right down to nearly dissolving it to some kind of distorted noise, depending on the input wave.
While the original Swamp had an oscillator routing to balance its output between normal (i.e. direct signal) and timbre modulated signal, which could each be balanced to go to direct out or to filter, this has been simplified in Swamp XT: direct und timbre modulated signal can be balance mixed to one signal and the output of both oscillators can be balance mixed too. While the direct and filtered signal can be balanced at the amplifier stage of Swamp XT.

The thinking behind the synth is to emulate the early single oscillator mono-synths like SH-04 etc. The oscillator is specially modulated to create a noisy, unstable sound which for some sounds is really wonderful and organic. The filter is firy and at times a bit tempramental (not smooth and polite like modern synths) so a compressor is highly recommended.

Chow Phaser is a digital phaser effect originally inspired by the Schulte Compact Phasing ‘A’. The plugin contains both mono and stereo modes, a “skewed” LFO modelled after the characteristics of light-dependent resistors, as well as nonlinear filters to add warmth and dirt.

The Quilcom Mystery synthesiser was designed to explore a specific type of technique whereby an additive synth (with sub) can have the amplitude of each partial modulated by its own independent polyphonic LFO. Many settings can be randomised manually or via a trigger generator, and there are two identical sound generators for nice stereo effects and a fuller sound.
The technique seems to be most useful for pad and soundscape making, so that’s what the presets focus on.
