2RuleSynth is a hybrid synthesizer featuring classic subtractive, FM or and Ring simulatenously.
It has LFOs and ADSR for every two independent oscillators. It has its own characteristic soundscape that can go as far as concrete music. Besides the familiar classical analog sounds, experimental sounds can be found using the randomize button.
2 Independent Oscillators.
Waveforms: Sine, Saw, Triangle, Square, White Noise.
Controls: Waveform, Volume, Fine-Tune, Octave.
Each Oscillators has its own filter, amp and filter ADSR and LFOs.

Experimental Linux support
Unfortunately due to the nature of Linux audio and our small size we are unable to offer anything beyond rudimentary support for the Linux build.
Created in collaboration with futuristic folk artist Lyra Pramuk, this collection of emotive vocal drones, chants, tempo-synced rhythms and pads has been made using recordings from her debut album, ‘Fountain’ — composed entirely from the sound of the artist’s own voice. These experimental textures will bring a human touch to your tracks, with a hint of alien-like processing — serving as a testament to the limitless possibilities of the human voice.

Protoverb: prototype reverb
A natural sounding reverb based on the concept of a room simulator. Protoverb is an experimental researchware plug-in, developed to aid our research. Download and use it for free.
Feel it in the air
What is Protoverb?
Protoverb is an experimental room simulator reverb. Most algorithmic reverbs try to avoid resonances or model the reflections of sound from a room’s walls. Protoverb does the opposite. It builds up as many room resonances as possible, modelling the body of air in the room. No need to modulate or colour the signal. The result is a very natural sounding reverberation with interesting characteristics:
• Notes held for a longer time tend to build up resonance, as if the air takes a while to get excited
• Multiple instruments remain distinct, without disappearing in a wash
• When you play a short melody, the room seems to repeat a ghost echo of that melody
The text box at the bottom of Protoverb’s interface contains a text string made up of two random parts. The first half dictates the network structure, strategies for spatial layout and distribution of delay taps, strategies for finding useful delay lengths and so on. The second half is a seed for a pseudo-random number generator—used to set various parameters such as the average delay length, which prime number to choose (if any) etcetera.
You can either edit the text, or randomise each part independently using the buttons below the text box.

The Windows installer was improved to prevent common installations issues. Please check the suggested installation paths during installation, making sure the update is Installed into the same location as the previous version, and all installed plugin formats are being updated. The factory preset library has been cleaned and sorted for this update. Files are replaced automatically on Mac.
Windows and Linux users, please consider removing the factory library folder before running the update installer.
Adam Monroe’s Tremolo is a free VST and AU effect plugin created as a companion piece to Adam Monroe’s Mark 73 Electric Piano. It combines a standard tremolo effect (amplitude modulation) with a stereo panning effect in a simple, intuitive GUI.
Version 2.0 includes new waveforms, including standards like square, saw, and triangle, as well as experimental waveshapes.
FourHead is an experimental granulator effect, despite not really being a delay or a granulator, though it lives in that realm.
It is based on an audio buffer which constantly records the input in chunks. This buffer is then read by four “play heads” which play it back as looped segments.
The length of the chunk to be played back is set independently from the length of the recorded buffer, and the pitch and start offset for each “head” can be modulated (the playback on 3 of the 4 heads can also be delayed), creating odd retriggering arpeggiations and granular-style swarms of sound.
The output can also be fed back to the record buffer for endless noisy fun.
EVOX Calypso is an experimental sound, performance-oriented virtual musical instrument that is designed for creating cinematic ambient soundscapes, sound structures, and atmospheric and ethereal textures, as well as more traditional synthesizer sounds that can be layered to create a tremendous variety of spatial sounds. EVOX Calypso sounds extend to unattainable distances, immersing you in unexpected worlds. The tool includes more than 128 ready-to-mix presets.
EVOX Calypso is Free/Donate. The Free version has some limitations. A version available to supporters includes a package of additional presets for synthesizers, effects, and track models. No installation is necessary, and it works without problems in Windows XP and Windows 10 (32/64-bit). (EVOX Calypso is 32-bit.)
EVOX Calypso is an standalone tool application for Windows that employs Wavetable / Granular synthesis in two separate and programmable layers each with extensive FX, Modulation Matrix and Chord Sequencer modules which provide the user with maximum control over unique sound creation.
As an experimental synthesizer, it radically departs from standard type instruments and is meant to be used as a laboratory for the exploration of new sonic and timbral creations. Playing EVOX Calypso is not like playing a conventional synthesizer, it does not have a keyboard and MIDI GUI like conventional synthesizers. Sound manipulation is carried out by built-in modulators and sequencers.
EVOX Calypso also has an 8-track sequencer with up to 64 steps for each track. Each track is essentially a separate synthesizer that can be recorded and played back in sync with the other tracks. Mini compositions can be made by merging these tracks together.

Charlatan is a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer with focus on sound quality and easy usability.
It comes with a flexible, yet not overwhelming feature set which encourages artists to start tweaking instead of just relying on presets. Inspite of it’s simplicity, Charlatan’s architecture is flexible enough to create both classic sounds and rather experimental noises. While making no compromise about sound quality, the sound engine has been highly optimized for efficient CPU usage making Charlatan well suited as a “bread and butter” synth even in projects with a large number of plugin instances.
