OB-Xd is based on the Oberheim OB-X. It attempts to recreate its sound and behavior, but as the original was very limited in some important ways a number of things were added or altered to the original design. OB-Xd was designed to sound as good and as rich as the original. It implements micro random detuning which is a big part of that sound.
• 7x faster GUI controls.
• Linux build.
• Standalone app.
• Signed and notarized installers.
• Updated JUCE framework to 5.4.7 for better stability and compatibility.
• Updated Banks with 2.0 compatibility.
• Ilkka Rosma Dark Theme.
• macOS Catalina support.
• MIDI CC Learn.
• MIDI CC support.
• Parameter refactor.
• XML based skinning.
• HiDPI (Retina) ready GUI themes.
While not copying originals, some of the features were taken to a better point. Continuous blendable multimode filter (HP-Notch(BP)-HP in 12 dB mode and 4-1 pole in 24 dB mode). Also, like many synths of the OB-X’s generation, the OB-Xd has no internal effects so its sounds and textures can be greatly enhanced by the use of additional processing like chorus, reverb, delay, etc.
Thanks to 2Dat for the original OB-Xd and Soshi Studio for giving the rights to continue this wonderful product. Also thanks to all KVR artists for making the amazing skins!. OB-Xd Desktop has no restrictions and is free to use. Buy to support further development, thank you! Source code is available under GPL license at GitHub.

It was designed to create a vintage electric piano feel. It uses subtle tonal changes that are influenced by velocity. This is not a Rompler or Sample based instrument. It uses various tuned frequencies to achieve its tonal quality. These can be varied using the Timbre control.
The effect of pickup phase is influenced by the Phase control. The Envelope is designed to respond as it would on an Electric Piano and is changed using the Decay control. There is a Treble and Bass control to alter the overall tone of the instrument. The Vibrato section is a simple design and is included an emphasis switch to change the sound of the Vibrato. Emphasis is somewhere between a Phaser and a Chorus and adds a bit more interest to the sound.
Keys Section: Phase simulates Pickup mixing. Octave can be used to switch between 3 octaves. +Keys introduces a 1 octave higher instrument (this is a subtle effect).
Timbre Section: Tone is used to control the frequency brightness. Timbre Velocity is used to add a level of attack brightness. Experiment between these two controls to introduce various shapes, especially for Twang effect.
Tone Section: Simple cut and boost for overall tone of the instrument.
Shape Section: These controls are used to create various feel to the playing and adjust the envelope of the instrument. The effect of these controls work closely with the Timbre Section.
Amplifier Section: These controls influence the final output of the instrument.
Velocity sensitivity can be increased from less active to more. The distortion control provides a natural saturation to the output.
Mute: This slider simulates a dampen effect on strings.
BabyDrummer is a versatile and easy-to-use VST3 pattern-based drum sequencer.
You design your patterns, make some variations and set the play order. You will be surprised how little effort is needed to make a great rhythm. You can design and play back your drum patterns in an arbitrary order.
BabyDrummer does not have a built in drum sampler so you need to use one in conjunction with it.
LibreArp by The LibreArp contributors is a Virtual Instrument Audio Plugin for macOS, Windows and Linux. It functions as a VST3 Plugin and a LV2 Plugin.
LibreArp is an open-source pattern-based arpeggio generator plugin. It is a MIDI effect (currently supporting any VST3 host on Windows, Mac, and Linux) that takes chords in the form of MIDI input and outputs so-called arpeggios based on the input chords.
Arpeggios are generated using a user-created pattern, which is very very similar in nature to a MIDI pattern in your favourite DAW.
Revolutionary audio sample editing.
When you drag and drop an audio file into the plugin, it is sent to our server for processing. Once this is completed, you recieve the result with all the notes in the audio seperated. In order to edit the notes, we generate a MIDI file that you can drag into the Samplab track. From now on, the plugin acts like a virtual instrument: It gets the MIDI events as input from your DAW and plays the (edited) notes. If you don’t make any changes to the MIDI, the result should sound the same as the original audio. Of course, you can also just use the MIDI file for other things.
The Samplab Plugin should be compatible with most DAW’s that support the VST3 or AU plugin formats. It has been verified to work with Ableton Live (10.1 or higher) and FL Studio on Windows and Mac.
An Internet connection is only required to transform new audio files. Once the result is received, you can use and manipulate it indefinitely without being connected to the Internet.
The playback speed of the notes is determined by the tempo of the MIDI files. When you upload a new audio, we estimate its tempo. You can adjust this estimate by changing the “Estimated BPM” in the plugin. For the change to take effect, you have to drag the MIDI file into your DAW again.”
A uniquely sampled guitar vst perfect for Lofi and Trap
Vinyl Guitar is a character guitar plugin. We sampled a guitar through an actual vinyl record player and then made a playable instrument out of those samples.
Vinyl Guitar comes with an easy to use interface allowing you to sculpt the sound as needed.
• Fret Noise – Use this macro to control the level of the fret noise you hear when changing notes and chords.
• String Buzz – This macro adds buzz to some strings randomly to more accurately recreate the sound of a real guitar.
• Pick Noise – This macro adds a picked attack to the start of the sound.
• Reverb – The reverb knob is a dry wet knob. The reverb settings panel opens a pop up box allowing you to dial in other settings.
• Attack/Release/Dynamics – This section of the GUI allows you to change how the guitar plays to fit your playing style or MIDI.
Off-Grid is a drum machine oriented for layering and experimentation.
The plugin contains a large variety of different percussive types, which can be accessed/cycled entirely from the UI on the fly without ever breaking the signal flow.
Each of the 7 channels run on 4 voices distributed for each cell unit where you can select and do other processing such as pitching, reverse, loop, as well as layer mixing etc.
A series of random triggers are significant part of the plugin workflow as a single touch may change the entire channel output, or simply adjust the panning or gain values.
Fast Unique workflow.
Responsive and instant load of sounds.
448 percussive sounds.
Rock solid sample interpolation (tested in multiple DAW’s).
Movementron is a synthesizer that focus on movement in space and time, from sequenced oscillators and filters to sequenced modulation and mangling of samples. Combined with a master effect section with compressor, filter, delay, and reverb, it works great both as a performance synthesizer and sound design tool.
8-step oscillator with individual shapes, LFOs and filters per step.
Drawable oscillator with detune and 8-step filter.
Loop player with detune and 8 step filter.
Keyboard split, oversampled compressors, delays, and reverbs.
