Leo McCormack SPARTA v1.5.0 free VST audio plugin suite 0 (0)

SPARTA is a collection of flexible VST audio plug-ins for spatial audio production, reproduction and visualisation, developed primarily by members of the Acoustics Lab at Aalto University, Finland.

In particular, this release sees the addition of 9 new plug-ins:

– compass_binauralVR: essentially, this is the same as the compass_binaural plugin, except it also supports listener translation around the receiver position and multiple simultaneous listeners.

– compass_spatedit: a flexible spatial editing plug-in intended to be used with 2 instances. The first instance you make of the plugin will allow you to specify marker directions and it will output the beamformed signals, which you can then equalise/re-balance/modulate/swap/modify as you wish. These modified signals can then be routed to the second instance of the plug-in. The ambient components of the first plugin are then also sent internally to the second plugin instance. The edited sound-field is then reconstructed and outputted by the second instance of the plugin.

– compass_gravitator: a sound-field focussing plugin affecting only the direct sound components in the sound scene. It essentially pulls sound sources towards user defined marker directions with a certain degree of “gravitational pull”.

– hodirac_binaural: a parametrically enhanced binaural ambisonic decoder, based on the higher-order Directional Audio Coding (HO-DirAC) method

– hodirac_decoder: the loudspeaker decoder variant

– hodirac_upmixer: the ambisonic upmixing variant

– sparta_spreader: a source panner with coherent and incoherent source spreading options. While by default it loads HRIR data for binaural spreading, the approach is quite general; for example, you could also create synthetic microphone array recordings of spread sources if you wish, by simply loading a SOFA file of microphone array IR measurements instead.

– sparta_ambiRoomSim: a basic shoebox room simulator with Ambisonics output, based on the image-source method. Its main niche is that it supports multiple sources and Ambisonic receivers. The output audio for the receivers is stacked up to the 64 channel limit. e.g., you can have up to 16x1st order, 4x3rd order receivers, or 1x7th order receiver.

– sparta_decorrelator: a multi-channel signal decorrelator, which you can use to make reproduced sound scenes more diffuse when applied, e.g., after sparta_ambiDEC on the loudspeaker signals.

Melda Productions MFreeFXBundle v14.16 x64 x86 VST AU AAX WiN MacOS [FREE] 0 (0)

MFreeFXBundle contains a set of audio effects

Our commercial plugins offer many more features, but these are still extraordinary when compared to most plugins on the market. You can extend the features of these free plugins at any time by purchasing a licence.

changes
14.16 changes Added enhanced aliasing improving the audio quality for most saturation algorithms available throughout the plugins. The downside is slightly higher CPU usage. It can be disabled from settings if needed. MXXXCore and MSuperLooper now also unlock MTurboReverb with only MTurboReverbLE licence and Equalizer with MFilter licence. Added native Apple Silicon CPU (currently M1) support. Added "Profile mixer" to MCabinet. Added groups to MMultiAnalyzer. Easy screen locks for title buttons have been moved to the left for consistency reasons. Preset search fields are now highlighted in red to highlight them and avoid confusion when user forgets that something is written in there. Added "High accuracy" switch to MCCGenerator. MultiParameters in banks mode can now create custom categorization for switcher menu by setting banks names to "category#text". Added Channel parameter to MIDI settings / Program change in presets. Holding Alt when clicking various copy buttons will allow exporting as XML button for editing as text. You can then edit the text and ctrl + pasting it back. Fix: Automating multiparameters when the plugin was sleeping made no effect. Fix: Closing text edit popup with escape key didn't work. Fix: Keys A, C and V were forwarded to the DAW even if the plugin edit was actually using them. Fix: MDrumReplacer's MIDI output didn't work in some DAWs. Fix: MTurboReverb delay order down was sorted up instead. Fix: Downloader could crash when installing certain 3rd party products. Fix: Downloader requested a correct MSoundFactory path even when installing MDrummer/MDrumReplacer data. Fix: MRhythmizer could ignore MIDI commands for volume sequences if the volume sequences were not defined. Fix: Installer didn't show proper products when clicking on the home icon in the product selection page. 14.15 changes Improved the default Neon style. Added MIDI out feature to MDrumReplacer. Added "Follow host name and color" feature to MMultiAnalyzer. Added Integrator module to MXXX. Added "Set output gain" feature to MAGC. Fix: MGranularMB was crashing in some circumstances. Fix: Keyboard forwarding disabled on Bitwig due to some problems in it. Fix: MCompressor was doing an inaccurate reduction for levels somewhere below -180dB. Fix: Custom GUIs were not available on case sensitive file systems in MXXX. 14.14 changes Big improvements in MDrumReplacer, officially released now. Added "Apply EQ" switch to MSpectralDynamics. Improved plugin selection page in the installer. Improved VST3 support. Added "Gain" and "Gain random" to each voice in MGranularMB. "Intelligent disable on silence" renamed to "Intelligent sleep on silence" to avoid confusion. Added features to the "Custom GUI designer" in MXXX. Improved keyboard to forwarding to DAW on Windows and added "Forward unused keyboard input to DAW" option in case you want to disable it. Added "Display waveforms" option to MSuperLooper, useful for additional CPU saving. Lots of changes to MTurboAmp alpha version. Fix: Any info/error message containing "_" made this character replaced by a whitespace. Fix: MRotary was crashing in MXXX when the Materials were turned on. Fix: Several plugins (such as compressors) didn't update the visual state when bypassed or in disabled mode. Fix: MGranularMB could cause initial peaks/glitches with specific settings and audio signals. 14.13 changes Big improvements for MDrumReplacer Windows plugins now forward unused keyboard commands to the DAW to make sure the DAW doesn't loose spacebar as play/stop for example, even if a plugin popup is displayed. Added Favourites tag, which you can use to filter the favourite devices to MXXX. Parametric equalizers now have band presets. Several minor fixes and improvements. Fix: MFreeformEqualizer could stop processing when switched to minimum phase mode in some cases. Fix: MTurboDelayMB didn't work properly. Fix: Some windows didn't save position and size. Fix: MTurboReverb was crashing in ambisonics and surround modes. 14.12 changes Most plugins now provide "Intelligent disable on silence" feature allowing them to disable themselves to save CPU whenever there is no signal and the plugin doesn't produce anything anymore. It can be disabled from settings. It works with all plugin interfaces and DAWs. Added "Random every time" option to MGranularMB and Granular module in MXXX. Added "XY-pad 4 banks" to banks mode of all multiparameters, allowing you to create XY pads, which would interpolate between 4 banks. Note that such multiparameter also occupies the next one, which is needed for the Y value. Added band Solo & Mute to all parametric equalizers. Available from band settings popup. Custom GUI designer now allows resizing keeping ratio when holding Alt in MXXX. Added "Replace" feature to MSuperLooper. Added per-track "Default bars" override to MSuperLooper. Minor GUI, stability and performance improvements. Plugins with latency now compensate synchronization position from DAW accordingly. For example, MRhythmizerMB is now synchronizing properly in linear-phase mode. Installer now logs installation of the MSVC redistributables and installes it only once. Fix: "Do not load from presets" option in MIDI controllers didn't work properly. Fix: Ambisonics wasn't available in ProTools. Minor GUI and performance improvements. Fix: MRecorder was reporting an error when the target path started with "~". Fix: Custom GUI designer could create incorrectly resized images for lower resolutions when custom images were used in MXXX. Fix: Impulse response export wasn't working properly for plugins with latency. Fix: Having a "" symbols in multiparameter name would make multiparameter manager impossible to display. Fix: Some MB versions of certain plugins could share the default settings with the non-MB versions. Fix: Changing presets in VST2 didn't update all the parameters in the DAW. 14.10 changes Export IR has been removed from MFreeformEqualizer, since the global IR button in the toolbar does the same thing. Improved font engine for nicer and more readable GUIs. Minor GUI and performance enhancements. Random preset feature makes sure the next preset is different from the previous (if possible). Fix: MTurboReverbLE dynamics section couldn't be activated. Fix: Device browser wasn't selecting the loaded device in MXXX. Fix: Displaying a tab as popup didn't properly store it's position and size. Fix: Multiparameter units could sometimes go wrong with "By bank name interpolated" mode. Fix: Global "Set" button may have produced incorrect results. Fix: Using SuperLooper inside MXXX could cause a crash. Fix: MTurboReverb ER's Analyse IR feature crashed on mono files.

Blue Cat's FreqAnalyst - Real Time Spectrum Analysis Plug-in (VST, Audio Unit, VST3, AAX) (Freeware)

This plug-in has been designed to provide extreme smoothness and high resolution for both time and frequency: unlike most spectrum analyzers, Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst is able to display continuous variations even with a very high frequency resolution, thanks to its unique smooth interpolation algorithms.

Most aspects of the audio to frequency display conversion can be managed, which lets you total control over the monitoring. A special thresholding system has been developed to help you see the important parts of the spectrum easily. In case you need extra precision in a particular frequency range, you can zoom the display and check the part of the graph you are interested in.

This plug-in supports Blue Cat’s skinning language, so that you can customize the user interface to your personal needs.

For more advanced capabilities, check Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst Pro plug-in, an extended version that offers many more features, such as saving/restoring curves, precise measurement tools, 3D spectrogram view, MIDI output. For multiple tracks analysis, you can use Blue Cat’s FreqAnalyst Multi plug-in.

Features

Main Features:

  • Mono and stereo real time spectrum analyzer.
  • Total control over the audio to frequencies tranformation.
  • Smart interpolation algorithm for extreme display smoothness.
  • Zoomable display with multiple sizes.
  • Custom absolute and relative thresholds.

Blue Cat's Gain Suite - Simple Mono, Stereo and Mid-Side MIDI Controllable Gain Plug-ins (VST, AU, VST3, AAX) (Freeware)

This plug-in suite is a series of gain utilities which let you control the volume of one or several audio tracks simultaneously, in real time.

The interest of these plug-ins resides in their particular features:

First, they include advanced automation MIDI control capabilities (all response curves can be fully customized). Used together with one of our analysis tools or a MIDI controller, these plug-ins let you remotely control and automate the gain of each channel of the audio signal, wherever they reside in the signal path.

Another interesting and exclusive feature is the ability to link several instances of the same plug-in: thanks to our unique data sharing technology, you can control the gain of several tracks at the same time with a single slider.

The package provides a single channel (mono or stereo) as well as a dual channel version with mid/side capabilities for independent control of the left and right or mid and side channels. It can be very useful for stereo widening/narrowing your stereo tracks.

Note: Additional information about stereo widening with mid/side processing can be found in our M/S processing paper.

Features

Main Features

  • Single or dual channels gain plug-ins.
  • Stereo or mid-side processing.
  • Multiple instances linking capability: link several instances of the same plugin and control several plugins from a single user interface.
  • Relative, absolute or reverse link.

Blue Cat's Phaser - Analog Modeled Phasing Effect Plug-in (VST, AU, VST3, AAX) (Freeware)

Modeled after vintage analog phaser circuits, Blue Cat’s Phaser reproduces this old vintage phasing effect that you can find on so many recordings, but with the precision of modern digital processing techniques.

You can choose to apply up to 32 phasing stages, pushing the model to its limits, or create a subtle phasing effect with wet and feedback parameters set to a few percents.

You can also control the phase of the signal in the wet and feedback paths, which extends the possibilities of the original model.

On the stereo version, the additional “spread” control lets you obtain deep stereo widening phasing effects as well.

Features

Main Features

  • Multi-stage analog-style phaser effect.
  • Up to 32 phasing stages.
  • Stereo spread control.
  • Sine or triangle LFO shapes.
  • In or out of phase feedforward and feedback paths.

Blue Cat's Triple EQ - Semi-Parametric 3 Bands Equalizer Audio Plug-in (VST, AU, AAX, VST3) (Freeware)

This free EQ includes a low shelf filter, a high shelf filter and a boost/cut peak filter. Its wide range of gain (+/-40 dB per band) and bandwidth (.01 to 5 Octave) makes it very versatile to create any filter shape. The three filters are linked together so that when you change the center frequency or the bandwidth, the parameters of the three filters are modified accordingly: you can control the entire equalizer characteristics with a single mouse click.

The graph shows the computed frequency response of the plug-in, so that you can exactly know how your signal is processed. The controls are directly available on top of the filter graph, making the design of the filter shape even easier.

The plug-in also offers a dual channels version, with independent left/right or mid/side equalization capabilities. Both channels can be linked together in many ways, letting you transform this plugin into a frequency-dependent panner and much more.

The plug-in can be controlled in real time with MIDI or automation: it is capable of absolutely zipper-free clean and continuous time-varying equalization with no latency. it is the ideal companion of our audio analysis tools for signal-dependent side chain filtering.

Want more bands? Check out Blue Cat’s Parametr’EQ series.

Features

Main Features

  • True WYSIWYG 3 bands semi-parametric equalizer / shapeable filter.
  • Dual Mode: independent left and right or mid and side channels control.
  • Multiple channels linking modes.
  • +-40 dB range for each band.
  • Automatic gain compensation.
  • No latency.
  • Real time display of the frequency response with precise measurement and zooming capabilities.
  • On-graph filter shape control.

music-society specialpack Liquidclear experimental VST plug-ins for Windows 3.5 (2)

Liquidclear has released a number of freeware VST instrument and effect plug-ins for Windows.

Since the original website is no longer available I will offer the plug-ins for download here, with kind permission of James of Symmetrical Castle / Liquidclear.

Note: All Liquidclear plugin(s) were created using SynthEdit and are for Windows only. You will need a VST host to use them.

Tremoloid is a simple but versatile plugin for creating tremolo-type effects using pure AM.

Sounds range from classic 60’s tremolo to extreme FSU/Glitch goodness. Excellent for EPs and strings/pads. Stereo in/out.

Rectiplyer offers Extreme Octave Distortion for guitars.

Rectiplyer simultaneously ‘transposes’ the optionally distorted input signal both up and down 1 and 2 octaves.

The distorted/transposed signals can be blended together as well as individually panned. Huge nasty synth-like tones are had with ease.

Klapp One is an analog-style hand clap sound generator (no samples used).

Transilient is a versatile FSU/Glitch type multi-effect unit designed to make strange and unusual new sounds — yet still (hopefully) easy to use and control.

The 5 different effects can be modulated by one of two 16-step sequencers, a LFO, any WAV file, and/or manually controlled. Additionally, the modulators can be synced to your host’s tempo. You can easiliy turn a single sustained note or chord into an electronic drum loop. Or take an existing drum loop and turn it into something glitch-like and noisy.

Slower tempos work great for drone and ambient sounds. 16 presets are included to get you started.

Flux Interrupter… It’s a weird, glitchy, modulated delay with a built-in LP filter and a little something extra.

James built it to obtain a certain sound for his own use, but maybe you’ll find some use for this plug as well.

Flux Interrupter sounds great on slower drums loops and monosynth sounds. 16 presets are included to get you started.
